POTTERY LESSONS

In Damalas Village, Manolis Lybertas, a fourth-generation potter on Naxos Island. The creations , include the sfouni (the jug they would pour wine out of the big jar with), the tyromethira (holed jar for drying cheese) and many copies of museum exhibits. This traditional pottery workshop makes items for both functional and ornamental purposes, and offers visitors the opportunity for a close-up look of the craftsman’s creative ways as he shapes the clay, from beginning to end.

In this one of a lifetime experience Manolis will show you how to make your own clay artifacts and you ll have the opportunity to buy splendid  souvenirs right from the source of creation .
